If you have ever been to a Cropsey Records show, then you have at least seen Taj. He has been at every one. Oftentimes, he can be found handing out croissants to audience members. He has no incentive to do this, other than being a nice person. That’s just who he is. His actions led him to winning the 2023 Cropsey Records Community Alliance Award.

When he isn’t serving the Cropsey Community, Taj makes his own brand of hyperpop. After making his bones as Drew Golder’s First Mate, Taj released his MISCOMMUNICATION album, which went on to become the Cropsey Sleeper hit of 2024. The record features a fresh mix of new beeps, bleeps, boops, and other types of noises. The way that Taj utilizes The Arpeggiator on this record has opened new avenues for future hyperpop artists. Spectators have noted that Taj sings into a telephone when he sings at the live shows.
