“I don’t wanna go home.” A line that echoes through our hearts and minds as we listen to Weathergirl’s Morning Glories/As The Crow Flies. The Weathergirl project reflects the musical talents of Kyra Horario (Guitar, Vocals), Cleo Harris (Bass, Vocals), Nasan Roberson (Guitar, Vocals), and Leo Menninger (Drums). The music itself can be tranquil, deep and poetic at times, while juxtaposing itself with parts and songs that are loud and emotionally brash. Weathergirl is creating a musical universe that compendiously defines a shared experience of moving through space and time, on a cruel and unforgiving plane– all while remembering that they are vulnerable, romantic, empathetic, and angry.

The group formed in 2023 when Cleo and Kyra met each other at The New School. After playing music together, they quickly realized they had serious chemistry, and started the band with Nasan and Leo. The band enjoyed relative success very early on, selling out their first shows at venues like Trans-Pecos and Purgatory, while simultaneously recording their first singles. After releasing those three singles to rave reviews, the band is now determined to record an album that will change this world forever.
